Blending polymers are one of the efficient and cost-effective methods to produce new polymer materials with unique properties. The final properties of the made blend are influenced by various factors like the nature of the blend’s constituent materials, the thermodynamic affinity of the constituents to each other, the percentage composition, the viscosity of the components, and the composition of the feed, etc

Scrachem

In recent years, quality control standards have changed in the interior parts of the car as well as the exterior. This issue is one of the reasons why PP is used in making car dashboards, car door covers, etc.
Products based on pure polypropylene usually have practical limitations in producing car’s interior parts due to their weaknesses in mechanical properties such as impact and scratch resistance. Therefore, specially designed polypropylene-based mixtures with particular additives can simultaneously increase the modulus, and impact resistance is used to produce these parts.
Scrachem is a PP mixture with minerals and special additives that create excellent anti-wear properties. Scrachem with good hardness and surface strength, Low thermal expansion coefficient and shrinkage, high flexural modulus, and tensile strength, and higher impact resistance has the best performance for the production of the interior and exterior parts of the car.

Polyolefins have received much attention in food packaging due to their unique properties.
The most crucial goal primarily considered in the packaging of food products is to increase the product’s shelf life or its useful life. Currently, polymers are used extensively in the food packaging and container industry due to their low specific weight, high plasticity, less energy consumption for production, and the ability to improve their properties by adding minerals and additives.
Although, the main weakness of this category of polymers is their fragility and impact resistance, especially at low temperatures of food storage.
Polytaf is an impact-resistant polymer alloy based on polyolefins, which simultaneously creates high impact resistance, suitable for producing sheets and parts used in food packaging containers.

Polypack is a polymer nanocomposite based on polyolefins with  oxygen barrier properties.

The packaging of foods is a critical area of food processing. Protecting the original quality of food against undesirable external effects is the function of the packaging materials. Required protection of foods can be achieved with one layer of polymer or, if needed, with multilayer film; it includes different polymers, surface films, and metallic foils. Barrier properties, i.e., protection of the package, are related mainly to the ability to transmit the gases and vapors, damaging the product’s quality. Oxygen is harmful to foods of vegetal or animal origin because it causes oxidation of higher fatty acids.   Barrier polymeric materials are usually based on modifying the material’s microstructure, including its chemical and physical modification. Chemical modification of the microstructure to change its chemical nature is not recommended in food applications. Therefore, using physical modification methods to produce barrier materials is more appropriate. The industrial method of producing packaging films is the blown film process. This process strongly depends on the rheological properties of the mixture in the molten state, such as tensile viscosity, elastic modulus,  shear viscosity, etc. On the other hand, nanoparticles’ proper dispersion and distribution are necessary to achieve maximum barrier efficiency and desired properties of products. Polypack is designed based on polyolefins and suitable nanoparticles to improve the barrier properties against oxygen.

The use of carbon black (CB) in polyethylene (PE) pipes is known to be the most economically effective measure against exposure to thermal and photodegradation.
To gain optimum performance from the carbon black addition, CB particles being utilized at required concentrations need to be well dispersed and distributed among the natural pipe resin matrix, as CB particles are known to dictate the performance of the polyethylene.

Polycoat can cover all oil and gas lines using suitable mechanical properties to resist puncture and tearing, high ESCR in a long time, and suitable absorbability with polyethylene maleic layer.

Geochem is a black masterbatch based on polyethylene with double peak molecular weight distribution, excellent carbon black(CB) distribution, UV resistance, and high ESCR.

This product can use in all geomembranes by taking advantage of suitable mechanical properties such as puncture and tear resistance, high ESCR in extended periods, and good processability.
The good rheological properties for production in different processes, such as blow molding and cast molding, are essential in preparing a black polyethylene masterbatch for producing geomembranes. Furthermore, having the physical and mechanical properties defined according to the standards is necessary to achieve the desired efficiency, especially in the long term. The most critical parameter determining the lifetime of geomembranes is the resistance to environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). High ESCR in high molecular weight polyethylenes is achieved when two-peak molecular weight distribution is established in the main structure of polyethylene.
